Monday 1/12 & Tuesday 1/13 - Mobile County High School Honor Band at Theodore High School
Cost is $25 billed to your band account on Cut Time. Let Dr. Beattie know if you cannot attend so you are not mistakenly charged.
Students should wear school uniform to rehearsals both days.
Due to safety, rehearsals will NOT be open. Only Band Directors, student teachers, honor band students, and clinician/clinician's assistant will be in the rehearsals.
Band Directors will be on-site to help monitor rehearsals in shifts and assist with percussion parts for both bands. (Mr. Messer will be at Theodore on Monday and Dr. Beattie on Tuesday.)
Percussion should bring their own stick and mallets.
Schedule both days from 8:00 - 2:00pm
Students will be dropped off or park in the student parking area of Theodore auditorium before 8am. There will not be bus transportation for students. Please let Dr. Beattie know ASAP if you need transportation help to and from Theodore High School.
Gold band - report to auditorium; clinician - Mr. Jon Bubbett
Silver band - report to band room; clinician: Ms. Barbara McMillian
Lunch time from 11:30 - 12:30 pm - Students will either bring lunch or go get fast food.
Transition to auditorium occurs at the end of rehearsal on Monday for final run through.
Report time for Tuesday is 5:30pm for both bands. Performance will begin at 6pm in the auditorium.
Concert Attire
Symphonic guys - tuxedo with bowtie
Symphonic girls and all other ensembles - all black
NO jeans, tennis shoes, or dresses
Directors will take pictures BEFORE the concert. After the concert, everyone should clear the auditorium unless you are helping with clean-up.

Saturday 1/31 - Allstate Audition at University of Mobile
You will be given a time slot between 8am - 2pm for your audition and should be complete in 30 or so minutes.
We need parent volunteers to help with registration at Allstate Auditions. The students need to have the etude book for their instrument. The parent volunteer role is at the registration table handing the students their book and immediately getting the book back from all Davidson students. We need 3 parent volunteers from 8-11am and 3 more from 11am - 2pm. Please let Dr. Beattie know if you can help with one or both of the time slots.

Thursday 2/5 - Marching in Polka Dot Parade
Thursday 2/12 - Marching in Stripers Parade

Practice minutes due for the contest band at the end of every month. Minutes Submission Form
200 minutes for section members

Parent Reminders:
Mr. Messer's "room" is on the MCPSS app. Please download the app on your device. If anyone cannot join the class they are supposed to be in, parent or student, email Mr. Messer and let him know. There are rooms for each period of band, color guard, and percussion.
