This Week – September 1st 

• Monday, 9/1 – Labor Day, No School, no practice

• Tuesday, 9/2 – Marching Band practice 3:30 - 5:30

• Thursday, 9/4 – Marching Band practice 3:30 – 5:30

• Friday, 9/5 – Away Football game at Baker 5:30 - 8:30

  • Call time: 5:30 PM

  • Uniform: Dry Fit top with bibber underneath, black socks, black marching shoes

  • Bring money for food

  • If you want to leave directly from the away game, make sure to fill out a trip return form, give it to your bus captain, and meet the bus captain at the bus after the game. 

Student Weekly Reminders:

• Bring clothes for practice.

• Stay hydrated throughout the day.

• Bring a water source with your name on it to practices and games.

• Set a phone alarm for Sunday night weekly to pack your instrument for Monday.

For Students and Parents:

• Purchase football tickets this season:  GoFan - Davidson Home Games

  • • All parents must purchase tickets unless signed up to volunteer with the band. 

• Mr. Messer's "room" is set up in the MCPSS app. Please download the app on your device. If anyone cannot join the class they are supposed to be in, parent or student, email Mr. Messer and let him know. There are rooms for each period of band, color guard, and percussion.

• Practice minutes due for the contest band at the end of every month. 200 minutes for section members, 400 for section leaders: Minutes Submission Form 

• If fees are not paid, students cannot receive a uniform or attend the football game as part of the band.

• Mark your calendars: Saturday, October 11th YayBand! Contest hosted by Davidson. Volunteers needed.
