Week of September 28

• Monday, Sept. 28 - Virtual day; no regular school on campus, no practice

• Tuesday, Sept. 29 - Practice 3:30–5:30 PM

• Wednesday, Sept. 30 - September practice minutes/private lessons are DUE for contest band and leadership; Minutes Submission Form 

• Thursday, Oct. 1 - Away Game at Foley 

  • • 5:00 PM - Call time

    • 6:15 PM - Arrive to Ivan Jones Stadium

    • 6:45 PM - March into stadium

    • 7:00 PM - Kickoff

    • ~8:15 PM - Perform halftime show. We go first during halftime.

• Friday, Oct. 2 - No game or practice 

• Saturday, Oct. 3 - Foley Band Contest; this day will be a long day. Students should plan accordingly and make sure they have everything they need for the entire day. Sign up to volunteer/chaperone.

  • • 11:00 AM - Report to Davidson; students will be in traditional uniforms

    • 12:30 PM - Burgers for the band down at the stadium

    • 2:00 PM - Depart Davidson for Foley

    • 5:00 PM - Davidson Performance

    • 10:00 PM - Awards

    • ~Midnight - Approximate arrival back to Davidson; students will update parents on ETA as this may change

Week of October 5

• Monday, Oct. 5 - Practice 3:30–5:30 PM

• Tuesday, Oct. 6 - Practice 3:30–5:30 PM

• Friday, Oct. 9 - Home Game vs  MGM - more details TBA; traditional uniforms

• Thursday, Oct. 22 - Homecoming game vs. Alma Bryant

• Tuesday, Oct. 27 - Fall Concert. Barton Academy is performing before Davidson and will join during the last song of the evening. They will have a bake sale fundraiser after the concert. 

General Announcements

• HypeRaise: Complete! Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and shared the fundraiser. We will share the final amount raised once we have the total.

• YayBand Contest: Saturday, September 26. This is one of our biggest events of the year. Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer; we are officially FULL and cannot wait to see everyone. Reminder, only those that are signed up to volunteer and/or donate food items will receive complimentary entry into the event.

• Parent Volunteer Meeting: Tuesday, September 22, 5:15–6:00 PM in the band room.

• Volunteer sign-up links for the upcoming football season and for the YayBand Contest are active under the Volunteer tab. 

• Los Angeles Trip: March 30–April 2, 2027. We still need approximately 10 more travelers. Family and friends are welcome to participate.

  • LA Trip in March - Spots still available. Family or friends are welcome to signup. Need about ten more to make the trip happen. Visit this link for more details regarding the trip and to sign up.

• Practice Minutes: Contest Band and Leadership students must submit practice minutes/private lessons by the last day of each month.
