• Monday, 5/4 3:30-5:30 PM - Rookie camp - Winds and guard (also 5/11)

  • • If you are trying out for leadership you should be at these practices.

    •  Band parent meeting 5:00-6:00 pm (for all band parents - current and incoming) in the auditorium

• Thursday, 5/7 3:30-5:30 - Percussion practice (also 5/14 and 5/21)

Looking Forward:.

• Thursday 5/14 - Spring game from 12:00-1:30, black polo and black or khaki shorts

• Thursdays, 5/7, 5/14, & 5/21 - All percussion practice 3:30-5:30 pm

• 5/18 - DHS Graduation

  • • Symphonic and selected concert band members call time 5pm at USA Mitchell Center

      • • Concert members will be notified this week if they are attending.

        • Graduation begins at 7pm

        • Guys need a necktie. No jeans, no tennies shoes, and no skirts.

Student Weekly Reminders:

• Practice minutes due for the contest band at the end of every month.  Minutes Submission Form 

  1. 1. 200 minutes for section members

     2. 400 minutes for section leaders 

Parent Reminders:

• Mr. Messer's "room" is on the MCPSS app. Please download the app on your device. If anyone cannot join the class they are supposed to be in, parent or student, email Mr. Messer and let him know. There are rooms for each period of band, color guard, and percussion.
