This Week:

• Monday, 5/11 - Rookie Camp - winds and guard 3:30-5:30pm

  • • We will start doing marching assessments and sit down band assessments this week. So make sure if you bring your instrument you need for each of these. 

    • If you are going for leadership you should be at these practices. We will do marching assessments, so we may need some of yall to work outside with those waiting to be assessed while we do assessments. 

• Thursday, 5/14 - Percussion practice 3:30 - 5:30 (also 5/21)

• Friday, 5/15 - Senior walk around the school at 12. Leadership applicants please report to the band room at 11:45 to do this short parade.

  • • Graduation begins at 7pm

    • Guys need a necktie. 

    • No jeans, no tennies shoes, and no skirts.

Student Weekly Reminders:

• Practice minutes due for the contest band at the end of every month.  Minutes Submission Form 

  1. 1. 200 minutes for section members

     2. 400 minutes for section leaders 

Parent Reminders:

• Mr. Messer's "room" is on the MCPSS app. Please download the app on your device. If anyone cannot join the class they are supposed to be in, parent or student, email Mr. Messer and let him know. There are rooms for each period of band, color guard, and percussion.
