This Week:

• Monday 2/2 - Concert band full rehearsal 3-4 PM; Yay band practice 3:30-4 PM  

• Tuesday 2/3 - Call time 5pm for yay band (onstage) and concert band (band room), 5:30pm for symphonic; 

  • • MPA Prep Concert at Davidson 6 pm

    • Reminder: Concert and yayband attire is all solid black pants and top; no skirts, dresses, or jeans.

• Thursday 2/5 - Marching in Polka Dot Parade; call time 5PM ; Parents sign up to volunteer

  • • Wear full uniform; wear solid black beanie under hat. This was issued for the Veteran's Day parade.

    • Wear solid long black socks. If you have your beanie or jacket at home, bring it to school before thursday.

    • Mrs. Jackson will be there after 4PM. Make sure you get your stuff around 4:30 so you are fully dressed BY 5PM.

  • • Monday 3:30 - 4:00 - Concert Woodwinds Practice & 3:30 - 4:00 - YayBand Full Band Practice in Room 4

    • Tuesday 3:30 - 4:30 - Symphonic Band Practice

    • Thursday 3:00 - 4:00 - Concert Brass Practice

• Thursday 2/12 - Symphonic in school clinic from 12 - 12:30

• Thursday 2/12 - Marching in Stripers Parade, call time 5PM; Parents sign up to volunteer

Student Weekly Reminders:

• Practice minutes due for the contest band at the end of every month.  Minutes Submission Form 

  1. 1. 200 minutes for section members

     2. 400 minutes for section leaders

     3. Next due date February 28th. 

Parent Reminders:

• Mr. Messer's "room" is on the MCPSS app. Please download the app on your device. If anyone cannot join the class they are supposed to be in, parent or student, email Mr. Messer and let him know. There are rooms for each period of band, color guard, and percussion.
